[separator headline=”h2″ title=”Introducing the BMC Remedy / Device42 CMDB plugin“]
We’re proud to announce the release of the BMC Remedy ITSM and Device42 integration — Associating Device42’s CMDB data with your BMC Remedy tickets. Remedy tickets can now be associated directly with the real-time auto-discovered IT assets (or Configuration Items; CI) such as devices, parts, PDUs, or racks that are referenced by the ticket. Those device details can then be further enumerated by simply clicking the view icon in the ticket, bringing you to that CI’s page within Device42 where all CI details are visible and editable.
Add this free module to your BMC Remedy installation (more info on our integration page) and begin including relevant Device42 CI in your BMC Remedy tickets today!

Now you can associate your auto-discovered IT assets including devices, parts, PDUs and racks from Device42 with BMC Remedy tickets. Within BMC Remedy, Device42 Configuration Items can be selected when creating a BMC Remedy ticket and are then attached to that ticket. This provides both direct visibility and historical accountability into exactly which device a ticket references, even if the device has been moved, renamed, or retired.

With the Device42 BMC Remedy connector, all of your detailed device information within Device42 for that Configuration Item is just a click away from your BMC Remedy ticket. Each CI in includes a link to view the Device42 page for that Configuration Item, enabling quick navigation to a detailed view of a given configuration item’s details in Device42.
The “view” icon opens device ‘NHCTDC1R4’ in Device42:
